Where the Sidewalk Ends
Created for Philadelphia Ballet II as part of Philadelphia Ballet’s choreographic initiative, Where the Sidewalk Ends was a melancholic meditation on youth inspired by the poetry of Shel Silverstein. Featuring dancers dressed in school uniforms, the work explored the tension between childhood imagination and the emotional complexities of growing up, drawing on the wit, nostalgia, and quiet poignancy found within Silverstein’s poems.
