Little Voices

Created for Philadelphia Ballet II as part of Philadelphia Ballet’s studio performance series, Little Voices explored the unseen internal worlds of young dancers as they navigate the transition into professional life. Blending contemporary movement with theatrical storytelling, the work gave physical form to the thoughts constantly running beneath the surface — anxieties, self-doubt, ambition, joy, pressure, and the pursuit of perfection. Moving between moments of vulnerability and exhilaration, the ballet examined not only the demands of becoming a performer, but also the deeply personal reasons individuals continue to dance.
