A + A brought together two virtuosic artists known for pushing the boundaries of classical performance: internationally celebrated ballet star Angel Corella and violin tour de force Ara Malikian. Fusing live music and dance, the production combined Malikian’s explosive, genre-defying performance style, blending classical precision with rock concert energy, alongside Corella’s athletic and emotionally charged approach to classical ballet. Featuring Malikian and his live band together with dancers from Barcelona Ballet, the work blurred the line between concert, ballet, and theatrical event, creating an energetic cross-disciplinary production that toured throughout Spain.
